Job: Marketing & Sales Manager

Wrenegade Sports is seeking a marketing professional that also has a keen interest in entrepreneurial business, sales, sponsorship, and a passion for fitness and healthy living. The ideal candidate will be versatile, with strong sales and marketing skills and an intrinsic desire to learn and be involved in multiple facets of a rapidly growing business.
The Marketing & Sales Manager position at Wrenegade Sports offers an exceptional opportunity to take responsibility for and ownership of successful marketing strategies and campaigns for Wrenegade Sports’ events and associated brands. Marketing & Sales Manager will be responsible for the following duties:
Building and leading the execution of marketing campaigns to support specific marketing objectives and sales targets across difference channels and segments including:
Digital marketing including Google Ads
Social media marketing including Facebook Ads Manager and Instagram
Developing business cases for marketing programs and making recommendations on marketing tactics
Proposing and managing marketing research projects to generate consumer insights in support of improved marketing strategy and communications
Achieving growth and meeting monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets
Evaluating and reporting the effectiveness of marketing programs
Managing the Wrenegade Sports marketing budget
Public relations including website content creation and maintenance
Wrenegade Sports lifestyle brand outreach including inbound marketing
Search engine optimization
Sponsorship sales and fulfillment
Managing marketing and social media assistants
Collaborating with external creative contractors and vendors
In addition, the Marketing & Sales Manager will also work as part of the event production team and will be required to be at all 2019 Wrenegade Sports events. Event production responsibilities may include:
Venue build and tear down
Course build and tear down
Aid station staffing

Ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications:
4+ years of experience in marketing and sales with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or similar
Experience building and running complex marketing campaigns and reporting on the results
Experience meeting sales targets
Strong digital marketing skills. Proficiency with Google Ads and Facebook Ads Manager is required.
Competence as a creative and meticulous writer with an eye for effective e-mails and landing pages
Ability to think creatively and innovatively
Strong project management skills with a robust ability to multi-task
Budget management skills and proficiency
Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.
Strong, professional communication skills
Ability to perform tasks in a timely fashion and stay on a strict schedule
Friendly disposition with sense of humor, ability to put people at ease, and ability to improvise
Ability to quickly react to changes in plans
Passion for fitness and healthy lifestyle
Strong work ethic, and a willingness to work extended hours as necessary to meet targets and goals.
Proactive and solutions-oriented
Ability to work in a team and take on a leadership role
Willingness and ability to travel and work outdoors
Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license without restrictions
At events, willingness to work 10-12+ hour days outside, in potentially adverse (weather-dependent) conditions
At events, Wrenegade Sports staff members may need to lift, push, pull, and/or move event production equipment and materials weighing up to 100 pounds
Passion for fitness and healthy lifestyle
Prior experience in the athletic event organization industry preferred
