Wrenegade Sports is seeking a professional event organizer with an interest in entrepreneurial business and a passion for fitness and healthy living. The ideal candidate will be an independent self-starter, versatile with both strong outreach and administrative skills and have ability to travel and a desire to learn and be involved in many aspects of the business.
The Event Manager will be responsible for developing and managing execution of Wrenegade Sports events in collaboration with the Wrenegade Sports team. The Event Manager will be responsible for some or all the following event-specific duties and others for each event under their management and others:
negotiating contracts and building lasting relationships with local vendors and partners including venues, caterers, municipalities, local farms, and other local vendors;
calculating and communicating accurate numbers to caterers and other vendors in advance of event day;
event permitting, municipal outreach, and safety plans;
managing event budgets;
staff and resource allocation;
local sponsorship sales and coordination;
pre and post-event community outreach;
collaborating with Wrenegade Foundation to assure sufficient volunteer staffing at the event.
The Event Manager will report directly to the Director of Events. The position will also include various tasks and projects in collaboration with the full Wrenegade Sports team focused on improving the overall operational efficiency and scalability of Wrenegade Sports.
In addition, the Event Manager will travel to all Wrenegade Sports events and have specific onsite roles, depending on their abilities and company needs, such as Venue Manager, Course Manager, Merchandise Lead, and other roles integral to the Wrenegade Sports event participant experience.

Wrenegade Sports is a growing start-up company that organizes innovative athletic events. Ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications:
A daily personal practice for fitness and healthy lifestyle
Prior event production and organization experience;
Experience collaborating with nonprofit organizations and recruiting volunteers;
Experience coordinating with local, regional and state-level municipalities and law enforcement;
Strong networking skills;
Strong, professional communications skills;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365;
A strong work ethic and ability to work well independently and as part of a motivated team
High energy, positive attitude
Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
Willingness to work 10-12+ hour days outside, in potentially adverse (weather-dependent) conditions
Full range of movement including but not limited to lifting, standing for long periods, bending, reaching, and twisting. Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or operate tablets, other objects, tools, or controls
Event Managers may need to lift, push, pull, and/or move event production equipment and materials weighing up to 100 pounds
Proactive and solutions-oriented
Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license without restrictions
