2017 Farm to Fork Fondo Master of Ceremonies

Wrenegade Sports is seeking charismatic and professional announcer for the 2017 Farm to Fork Fondo bicycle event series. Candidate must be comfortable with a crowd and able to be the motivational voice that drives participants to achieve their goals for the day. Master of Ceremonies will also be a part of the pre-event staff, so candidate must excel working as a part of a team. Candidate must be able to work several days at all 6 2017 Farm to Fork Fondo events (click to see event website) and attend staff training weekend in May. 

Job Responsibilities:

Master of Ceremonies will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Introducing speakers, making announcements, and engaging with the audience to keep the event agenda flowing as smoothly as possible
  • Providing motivation and encouragement to participants at the morning mass starts and as riders finish
  • Delivery of safety instructions at the morning mass starts
  • Promoting and encouraging sponsor engagements
  • Interacting with participants, bands, national anthem singers, sponsors, vendors, venues, farmers, Festival Manager and Event Director 
  • Pre-event preparation with Wrenegade Sports staff of formal event agendas

In addition, Master of Ceremonies will be a part of the pre-event production crew, reporting directly to the Festival Manager, and be responsible for the following: 

  • Venue build & tear down
  • PA system set-up

Required dates: 

  • Farm to Fork Fondo – Hudson Valley, June 9-11, 2017 (plus carpool travel on June 8 & 11)
  • Farm to Fork Fondo – Finger Lakes, June 23-25, 2017 (plus carpool travel on June 22 & 25)
  • Farm to Fork Fondo – Vermont, July 14-16, 2017
  • Farm to Fork Fondo – Pennsylvania Dutch, July 27-29, 2017 (plus carpool travel on July 26 & 30)
  • Farm to Fork Fondo – Maine, August 25-27, 2017 (plus carpool travel on August 24 & 27)
  • Farm to Fork Fondo – Berkshires, September 22-24, 2017 (plus carpool travel on Se ptember 21 & 24)
  • Attend Company training weekend on May 13-14, 2017 in Vermont
